Educational Goals

 

  The College of Finance and Economics will uphold the core values of "Professional Integration, Integrity, Innovation, Practicality, and Lifelong Learning," and is committed to cultivating well-rounded professional skills in accounting and tax practice, corporate governance, financial management, and business operations. These skills are paired with independent thinking, innovative ideas, communication abilities, and an international perspective, humanistic literacy, and a service-oriented spirit, to develop high-quality financial management and business management professionals. In short, the overall educational goal of the College of Finance and Economics is: "To cultivate high-quality business professionals with an international perspective and social concern, who possess integrated professional knowledge and skills in accounting and tax practice, corporate governance, financial management, and business operations." The educational goals for each academic system are shown in Table 1.

  In response to the liberalization and internationalization of the business environment, industry demands, and the development of information technology, the development goals of this college in terms of teaching are as follows:

  1. Enhance professional competencies.

  2. Integrate the expertise from various departments to create industry-specific professional programs and shared core courses.

  3. Improve professional practical skills by linking theory with real-world application in teaching.

  4. Enhance information technology skills and integrate them with professional and technological learning.

  5. Incorporate industry-academia research results into the curriculum.

  6. Improve the quality of teaching.

  7. Guide students to obtain professional certifications.

  8. Cultivate independent thinking, communication skills, and teamwork abilities.

  9. Foster professional ethics, corporate responsibility, and a commitment to social welfare.

 

Research Objectives

  1. Promote research that combines practice and theory.

  2. Encourage interdisciplinary integrated practical research and establish a business consulting platform.

  3. Develop key research areas and establish distinctive research features.

  4. Regularly organize academic seminars both within and outside the university, encourage the publication and presentation of research works, and enhance academic standards and visibility.

  5. Leverage internal human resources and facilities to promote medium and large-scale research projects, establishing a position of excellence in academic research.

  6. Actively participate in international academic research activities and promote technological and academic exchanges.

 

Counseling and Service Objectives

  1. Cultivate students' balanced and sound personal development.

  2. Establish a life perspective focused on social concern and service to others.

  3. Strengthen career counseling and continue conducting employment surveys.

  4. Promote student certification exams to enhance workplace skills.

  5. Provide academic resources and research outcomes to promote industry-academia collaboration and continuing education.
