Development Features
The development features of our college encompass four major areas: teaching, research, counseling, and service. The ten key development features are: "Professional Knowledge and Cross-Disciplinary Integration," "Practical Teaching and Employment Alignment," "Dual-Teacher Counseling and Practical Skill Enhancement," "Certification Integration and Increased Competitiveness," "Technological Innovation and Curriculum Revitalization," "Diverse Thinking, Innovation, and Creativity," "Industry-Academia Alliance and Innovative Entrepreneurship," "Character Leadership and Holistic Education," "Social Responsibility and Service Learning," and "Cultural Perspective and International Mobility." We are moving towards "Professionalism, Practicality, Innovation, Character, and Internationalization."
"Professional Knowledge and Cross-Disciplinary Integration"
The college has established a comprehensive regulatory system, including the foundation core courses and a professional certification system, to assess students' basic professional competencies and ensure the enhancement of teaching quality and student learning outcomes.
In alignment with industry innovation, transformation, and changes in business models, the college has integrated and developed cross-disciplinary and diversified innovative programs, incorporating digital technology applications. These include interdisciplinary credit programs such as: International Credit Program, Accounting and Taxation Credit Program, Financial Technology Credit Program, Banking Audit Credit Program, Southeast Asian Business Credit Program, Smart Business Services Credit Program, International Business and Taxation Credit Program, and Financial and Tax Information Credit Program. These programs aim to offer students a wider range of elective courses and cultivate business professionals who meet the needs of industry development and upgrades.
"Practical Skill Enhancement, Increased Competitiveness"
Implement practical teaching (increase the proportion of practical courses, jointly plan courses with industries, offer off-campus practical internships, organize company visits, integrate industry-academia collaboration outcomes into teaching, and conduct practical projects); collaborate with industries to apply for the Ministry of Education's Industry Academy Program and the Ministry of Labor's Employment Program, and establish industry-academia cooperative and industry-focused graduate programs to cultivate talents that meet corporate needs; encourage teachers to participate in industry training or services to enhance their practical abilities. Establish a "dual-teacher system," with industry experts co-teaching to enhance students' practical skills; set professional graduation competency thresholds (professional certifications), guide students to obtain professional certifications, and integrate certification with competencies to improve students' competitive advantages. Additionally, organize large-scale practical forums or seminars with participation from industry professionals, which have proven effective.
"Industry-Academia Collaboration, Creating a Win-Win Situation"
The college and its departments apply their expertise to establish strategic alliances with industries and create an industry-academia platform. Through these collaborations, the practical abilities of both faculty and students are progressively enhanced, providing students with internship and employment opportunities while strengthening faculty's industry-academia cooperation capabilities. The industry sector benefits by gaining access to talented individuals, achieving a win-win situation. The college collaborates with corporate partners to jointly apply for the Ministry of Education's Industry Academy Program and the Ministry of Labor's Employment Program, establishing industry-academia cooperative and industry-focused graduate programs. Corporations provide students with internships and employment opportunities, as well as offer industry-academia research projects for faculty. Our industry partners include organizations such as the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance, the Institute for Information Industry, the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the Insurance Research and Development Center, major financial institutions, the Big Four accounting firms, listed companies, and various trade associations.

"Diverse Thinking, Innovation, and Creativity"
Encourage teachers to innovate teaching models, including the adoption of flipped classrooms, digital teaching, case-based teaching, and the application for teaching innovation awards. Design innovative curricula and course content to respond to changes in industries and markets. Additionally, establish student communities to guide practical competitions. By participating in domestic and international competitions, conferences, or project exhibitions, students can cultivate "diverse thinking, innovation, and creativity," enhancing their communication, independent thinking, and creative innovation learning. Traditional education tends to focus on standardized answers, without training students to think critically in uncertain situations. However, with environmental changes such as technological advancement, internationalization, diversification, and increasingly complex transactions, it is crucial to strengthen students' independent thinking, integration capabilities, communication skills, and teamwork spirit, along with fostering their creativity and innovation. Our college's students demonstrate creativity and innovation, achieving outstanding results in domestic and international competitions.
"Character Leadership, Holistic Education"
The Character Leadership Education and Development Research Program is sponsored by Honorary Chairman Chen Dingchuan, the founder of Yongguang Chemical Group, and starts with the "Character Leadership Lecture" organized by Yongguang Chemical Industrial Company. The program includes:
- Character Leadership Teaching and Education Courses
- Faculty and Staff Character Development Camps
- Character Leadership Reading Clubs
- Character Leadership Lectures
- Character Leadership Corporate Visits
- Character Leadership Digital Film Presentation
Currently, each department has introduced mandatory courses related to "Character Leadership." Additionally, courses such as "Business Ethics" and "Service Learning" are offered, integrating cross-department teaching teams to develop diverse teaching methods. Students are encouraged to participate in club learning teams and leadership roles to cultivate business professionals with strong character and social responsibility.
The college regularly organizes large-scale events to enhance professional, practical, character, and humanistic abilities, aiming for holistic education that balances "knowledge and general education," "academic knowledge and character," and "individual and group development".
"Integration with the International Community, International Mobility"
Each department of the college has established an "English Graduation Requirement" to enhance students' foreign language communication skills. At the same time, to improve students' international perspectives and practical abilities, the college applies every year to the Ministry of Economic Affairs' International Trade Bureau for the "Emerging Market Overseas Internship Trade Ambassador Program," as well as to the Ministry of Education for the "Dream Building Plan," sending students abroad for internships with notable results. On August 31, 2016, Business Today (Issue 605) reported the news titled "Internship in ASEAN," highlighting how university students, from junior to second-year master's students, seize the opportunity to gain overseas work experience. By directly entering companies for internships, they not only strengthen their English communication skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the local culture and thinking in ASEAN countries.
In addition, the college offers an Executive Master’s Program in International Business Innovation and Management in Yangon, Myanmar, and a Master's Executive Program in Vietnam.
"International Curriculum Integration" – The college collaborates with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of International Accountants (AIA) to plan and introduce internationalized courses, increasing students' international mobility.
"Recruiting International Students" – Each department and the Master's Program in Trade Practice, Law, and Negotiation, as well as the International Credit Program, welcome exchange and visiting students from various countries to enhance international exchange.
"AACSB Membership" – To improve the quality of business education and move toward internationalization, the college has become a member of AACSB and is in the process of applying for AACSB accreditation.
